๐ What We’re Learning This Term
We have lots of exciting topics to explore this term across the curriculum:
-
English – We’re reading the hilarious Oi Frog by Kes Gray. This will help us explore rhyme, sentence structure, and story sequencing while developing our own creative writing.
-
Maths – Our focus is Place Value, helping us build a strong understanding of numbers, counting, and how numbers are made.
-
Science – We're learning to identify and name common animals, including mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, and pets.
-
Geography – We’re studying Our Local Area, using maps, fieldwork, and observations to explore where we live and go to school.
-
Art – We’ll be developing our drawing skills, using lines, shapes, and textures to create imaginative artwork.
-
Design & Technology – This term we’ll be designing and making freestanding structures, learning how to plan, build, and evaluate simple models.
-
Computing – In our computing lessons, we’ll be learning about technology around us, understanding how digital devices are used in our everyday lives.
-
PE – Our focus is on Locomotion, developing movement skills through jumping, hopping, skipping, and other active games.
-
RSHE (Relationships, Sex and Health Education) – We’ll be exploring the themes: "Who is my friend?" and "Where do feelings come from?", helping us build emotional understanding and positive relationships.
๐งบ Other Information
